Canvaas Consulting and I joined forces with the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation to bring awareness around the mental health challenges that black teens are facing, across Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati, in an effort to create solutions for teens who feel like suicide is an option - to help bridge the gap to reach black youth. Together, we are working alongside teens, parents and community members to bring about change to an issue that has been swept under the rug for far too long. Our messaging to bring awareness is rooted in inspiration, hope and support that provides direction during potential crises. Through research, we are helping to build a network of resources and support groups that will specifically meet the needs of black teens. As we continue this work, our hope is to meet the needs of our youth by truly listening to what they have to say.

In partnership with Franklin County Public Health, Canvaas Consulting and I developed a brand and comprehensive campaign speaking to residents of Franklin County providing guidance and awareness around COVID-19 healthy practices, while encouraging acts of kindness to uplift community morale during the pandemic.
This campaign presented the opportunity to develop a collection of masks in support of public safety as we highlighted the message of wearing a mask to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

With the nation on lock-down, we wanted to provide a feel good experience for the residents of Franklin County, as a way to connect with one another as a form of escapism. Through this event, we were able to showcase the pride of Franklin County and talent that lives right here, locally. This event was streamed live through social media and included a virtual photo booth for participants to share themselves enjoying the show! We were truly able to display the power of unity during difficult times. Towards the end of 2020, our work had a reach of more than 3 million, but our work continues.

With the success of A Black Lady Sketch Show Season 1 and the April 2021 premiere of Season 2, HBOMax wanted to expand their fan base, increase engagement, create more social-first content and step into the world of TikTok.

Pop’N Creative built a robust, daily content strategy and calendar for all social platforms to promote the (6) episode new season. Pop’N producers created bite-sized, social-first content, captivating copy and interactive in-app content.
Every Friday during the premiere, the team live tweets with call-to-action posts encouraging fans to re-tweet, comment and tag other ABLSS viewers to broaden social reach.

Within the first week of the campaign, ABLSS social channels’ impressions increased by 164%, reach increased by 458% and the likes were through the roof with a 258% increase. In the second week, impressions reached over 2.4M, and the numbers continue to rise!
